Ms. Ridgway grew up in Anchorage and this was a show she entered more than once. It's hosted by UAA and is a lot like our local City Museum's 12x12 Show.
Deadline is NOW, so send them your best small work and see how you do!

Can anyone pursue a supplies grant for cameras and a printer for Digital Art?

Here is a link to a set of National Grants. It is a 25 page document, very well organized, not too difficult to read. One of the many grants listed here allows you to apply to receive money for supplies and equipment! Do you have time to apply for this on our behalf?

Take a look and think about it. Deadlines are October 1st.
Let's recognize our schools recent efforts to get a Digital Arts Program off the ground despite recent cuts by finding the money to support the program even more with Cameras, drawing tablets, and a color printer!

It was First Friday this last Friday! It takes well over an hour to properly wander about downtown Juneau between 4 and 7PM the first Friday of every month checking out the new artists showing their work. Stop by Coppa, the State Museum, The JAHC, the City Museum, Northwind Architects, and all the coffee shops & gift-shops along Front, Franklin, Seward Street, etc... This month the new Taqueria downtown showed the work of recent JDHS Graduate, Jollene Chup! Galleries often offer free snacks and the artists is usually there to answer questions and sign their work. Check it out!
